“EDDY MAKES A FRIEND”

My submission for Gallery 1988’s epic “Crazy 4 Cult” show which is in NYC this year!! (Opens next week). I LOVE Edward Scissorhands and wanted to imagine him younger … with fresh cuts despite starter safety scissors. :) 

This wasn’t my original piece, but due to recent tragic events (you know what I’m talking about), I decided to pull my first concept (for another film) and do something happier and more hopeful. I was going for “painfully sweet” with this, so hopefully I’ve achieved that. :) I love the other piece a lot, so I’ll use it for another show or something in the future. Also, I’ll get back to screenprints soon … the printer I love has just been booked all summer, so I’ve been focusing on fun full-color digital pieces. I love how these prints came out … so crisp and bright and gorgeous.

Can’t wait to see this show … 200 artists! And so many favorite films!
