My print for Gallery 1988’s “There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand” Arrested Development Tribute Show. The show opens next Friday, the 29th at 7020 Melrose, and the print will also be for sale on their website starting on Saturday. (The copyright line does not appear on the actual print.)
What … you don’t remember seeing the Staircar advertised in a 1957 issue of LIFE Magazine??*
I was originally working on an old-timey magic poster for GOB, but then saw some other folks did the same thing for the show, so I quickly did this last week. Whew!
*And here’s some reference as to the little floating-vignette style I’m spoofing, for those unfamiliar with ’50s car advertising, although I’ve not included any full-page ads (with slogans, etc.).
